This depends on the surface, 1.5mm thick can be used if the surface is smooth and flat (think plasterboard), if your covering a wall that has a are flat but with a slight texture (think breeze block/tiled walls) then 2mm thick would be our recomendation. 2.5mm thick sheets should be used for walls that are consistantly uneven (think uneven brickwork). 3mm thick sheets can be used for walls that require the covering of very uneven walls or that are being fitted to timber framework.
